Average picks

These are standard Dunlop guitar picks, so we all know what to expect.
They're not amazing but definitley not bad. Like I said just your average guitar pick.

I don't hear a difference between these Flex picks and the standard tortex picks. I think that's just some marketing blabla. But they do feel a bit less stiff than regular tortex. But it's not that noticeable.
They wear pretty fast, but not faster than any other pick.

I play heavy metal with .11 - .48 strings and I pick quite heavily, i'm what they call a "heavy hitter" And these picks last about 10-12 hours of heavy playing before you can throw them out.

In conclusion: Average guitar picks. not bad nor excellent. and exactly what you can expect from Dunlop. No suprises there.

I love my Tortex Jazz III picks (the standard white ones) and I was looking for a bigger version of them. I was hoping to find an XL version of the Tortex Jazz III but they apparently don't exist...

Turns out, this "Tortex Flex" material isn't exactly like typical Tortex. It's softer and slightly more flexible. They feel pretty close to a standard Tortex Jazz III once you've gotten used to them, but they wear down a lot faster, especially if you play heavier music with lots of chugging (lol). In which case, this pick will be completely shot after a day, maybe two if you're lucky.

I yet have to find a pick that's better than the Ultex Sharp when it comes to metal...

Great and warm tone!
BluesyG 11.05.2025
This pick is perfect for those accustomed with the dunlop jazz iii xl shape. The shape is almost exactly the same. As far as tone, the material on these is a bit softer than the typical nylon found on the jazz iii xls, which results in a smoother, warmer tone. Perfect for bright guitars or for acoustics for different shades of tone in the studio! Would recommend!
