D'Addario's XS film coating is ten times finer than human hair, while still reliably protecting the strings from residue and changing temperatures over a long period of time. The coating is imperceptible to the touch, with a playing feel that is incredibly smooth and a sound typical for strings with a phosphor bronze wrap – both resonant and balanced. The core's hexagonal shape (which is another D'Addario innovation) means the contact between core and wrap wire is almost seamless, giving the strings great tuning stability and precise intonation all along the fingerboard. The best strings for ringing sound

I set the strings for my Taylor gs mini and it sounds perfect. Lifetime is up 3 months or even half a year more if you don't play very often.

My preferred set and brand. Worth the price on my guitar. I don't play hard, I do play with light and heavy picks and fingers. Same set 1yr on. Get better with age while retaining highs.

These strings sound good on my Gibson Hummingbird pro. Really a big step up. I tried a few different brands before staying with this one. Worth it. I'll buy again. Big round tone. All the highs and lows and everything in between.
