The coating is imperceptible to the touch, with a playing feel that is incredibly natural and a sound typical for strings with a phosphor bronze wrap – both resonant and balanced. The strings' finger noise is also reduced, great for studio recordings in particular. The core's hexagonal shape (which is another D'Addario innovation) means the contact between core and wrap wire is almost seamless, giving the strings great tuning stability and precise intonation – of course, this is absolutely crucial when playing a twelve-string instrument.
