i bought this head for my pearl decade maple, to replace the old evans ec2 (which is great by the way) and it's definitely not for me. is it single ply, or something that aquarian does, but it has bunch of sustain and "thin" sound, but no richness or the warmth of the tone.
it is quality made, built to last (especially coating) but overall - not my jam.

Livens up old toms

I used this skin on an old pair of concert toms and wow, they really sparkle now. Good sound, hard wearing and easy to tune.

Auf meinem 10" Stage Custom Yamaha Hängetom macht dieses Fell einen unvergleichbar großartigen Eindruck. Wird meinerseits für Pop, Funk, Fusion und Reggae genutzt, für den rockigen oder noch härteren Einsatz sollte man sich einen eigenen Eindruck verschaffen, ich denke aber das ist Geschmackssache - geht bestimmt auch :) Ich bin jedenfalls hochzufrieden!!!

Sound: Warm, voll, Obertonarm, genügend attack. Selbst bei leisen Spielvarianten sehr präsent.
Mir fällt nichts negatives zum sound auf, denn ich habe nun viele Marken durchprobiert: RMV, Remo, Evans... stinkt alles dagegen ab. Wer die Obertöne loswerden will braucht nichts Mehrschichtiges, sondern sollte mal auf Aquarian wechseln.

Tolle Verarbeitung, die Schweißnaht fällt kaum auf und lässt sich auf den ersten Blick nicht entdecken, homogenes coating usw. ... einfach stark!

Ich finde man kann sagen, dass sich allerdings andere Marken leichter stimmen lassen, ist aber nur mein Eindruck, ist jedoch kein Problem wenn man Übung im Stimmen hat.
