Powerful bass

Building on the success of the TS3 series, Alto Professional has launched an even more powerful active subwoofer: The TS4 series. The TS18S, the largest model in the series, stands out from the competition thanks to its impressive features. Its most distinguishing attribute is its phenomenal output, as well as its virtually silent operation, thanks to its fanless passive cooling system. Different modes allow the sound to be optimised for all kinds of live performances and DJ sets alike. The TS18S's phase can be adjusted by 90°, 180°, or 270° to combat comb filtering more effectively.

High-performance Class D system

Thanks to its inner reinforcements and durable finish, the TS18S's MDF housing is extremely robust. The top has a 36mm stand flange mount for support rods, which are used to mount the TS4 series speakers. M6 threaded inserts on the back of the housing facilitate the attachment of casters for easy transportation. The built-in Class D amplifier delivers 2,500 watts at peak performance and drives an 18" woofer with a 3" high-temperature voice coil. Consequently, the TS18S has a maximum sound pressure level of 137dB. It can reproduce frequencies as low as 29Hz (-3dB). The electronics are prevented from overheating or overloading thanks to the protected circuit design. An LED indicates whether a signal is present or the power limit has been reached.

Optimised for TS4 speakers

The TS18S is optimised to be used with the active speakers of the TS4 series. Connect the left and right outputs of the mixer to the subwoofer's input using standard XLR and TRS cables. The first input is for the left and the second is for the right channel. The speakers are connected to the thru outputs as required in each specific setup. To achieve the best sound quality, it is recommended that the EQ settings of the subwoofer and speakers are matched. TS4 series speakers also offer a three-stage high-pass filter to help users find the optimum crossover frequency for their subwoofers.
