sehr solide Verarbeitung, super weich abgerundete Kanten schonen die Hände, deshalb ist der Durchmesser der Schlagfläche ist aber nur ca. 31 cm, (das Holz und den Ring kann man dafür ja nicht zählen), die anderen teuren Djemben bei Thomann sind wohl auch nicht breiter. Super Klang, aber nicht ganz einfach zu spielen, wenn man keine gute Schlagtechnik hat. Bass Ton Slap müssen viel bewusster angeschlagen werden als bei meiner billigen Djembe. Sonst klingt der Ton nach Slap und der Bass kommt nicht voll zum Klang. In unserer Trommelgruppe habe ich jetzt die höchsten klarsten Slaps mit dieser tollen Trommel. Schlichte Gestaltung. Mein Holz ist stellenweise etwas grau, aber darauf kommt es ja nicht an.

Lo strumento è arrivato in ottime condizioni e con una buona accordatura (non ho ancora provato a cambiarla), e' molto curato nei dettagli ed è molto pensate (presumo sia fatto con un buon legno). Prima dell'acquisto avevo insistentemente e purtroppo invano richiesto la possibilità di avere quello con le corde nere. Thomann mi ha spiegato che il controllo del prodotto prima della spedizione non sarebbe stato possibile (per via della gestione automatizzata dei magazzini). Alla fine mi è arrivato un djembe che ha le corde di colore rosso e nero (come nella foto di Afroton AD C02 Djembe Pro-Iroko) e anche dal design differente (con maggiori ornamenti nella parte bassa) rispetto a quello in foto. Nel complesso risulta comunque molto gradevole anche nel design. Il suono è meraviglioso con bassi molto profondi e medio/alti abbastanza nitidi (proprio quello che cercavo io). Tuttavia sono leggermente deluso dalle dimensioni perché l'altezza risulta essere di 63 cm ed il diametro della pelle intorno ai 33/34 cm.....sembrerebbe quindi al limite con le dimensioni dell'Afroton AD C02 Djembe Pro-Iroko (di prezzo inferiore). Strumento che comunque consiglio.

Die Afroton Djemben sind super Instrumente, die Pro Iroko ist gut gearbeitet und sehr schwer. Sehr differenzierter Sound, aber im Bass, vor allem Subbass fehlt es ein bisschen. Das kenne ich bei ähnlich großen Djemben schon anders.

Meine Erfahrung zeigt, solche Unikate kann man eben nicht im Internet bestellen.

Ich habe mir bewusst diese etwas größere (13“) Djembe gekauft um etwas „Mehr“ an Sound als eine typische 12“-Djembe zu haben. Ich habe bei Thomann im Laden angespielt und mit zwei anderen 13“-Djemben und mit meiner bisherigen 12“Djembe (ebenfalls eine Afroton) verglichen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit den Sounds: volle Bässe, klangvolle Tones und knackige Slaps. Sie kann sich als Solo-Djembe in einem Ensemble locker durchsetzen.
Der Korpus und somit auch die Spielfläche sind nicht ganz rund sondern leicht oval, daher 1 Stern Abzug bei der Verarbeitung. Tut aber der Gesamtqualität keinen Abbruch.
