The ADAM Audio D3V is a compact monitor speaker set for home studio applications that features balanced jack inputs and a USB-C interface, allowing direct connection to a DAW and eliminating the need for a separate audio interface. In keeping with the technology for which ADAM Audio is famous, each speaker features a woofer and a passive ribbon tweeter, providing a frequency response that starts down at 45Hz. The left-hand speaker features a volume control and 3.5mm headphone output on its front side, a practical feature that allows users to mix in complete silence, while the rear side in turn houses a trio of sliding switches for adjusting the sound to optimally suit the room's acoustic properties. The result is a compact monitoring solution for use in small spaces that can be flexibly integrated into any setup and will deliver a high-quality sound in any room.

Direct DAW connection

Both of the ADAM Audio D3V White speakers feature a handmade 1.5" D-ART AMT ribbon tweeter, and thus deliver ADAM Audio's characteristic treble response without any danger of fatigue setting in. This is combined with an aluminium woofer that features a ferrite magnet system, and the system amplification delivers a peak value of 80W each for the woofers and 40W each for the tweeters. Dual-sided 3.5" passive radiators bolster the bass frequencies and thus increase the achievable sound pressure level, while the aforementioned trio of switches located on the rear side of the left speaker provide a range of options to further tailor the sound.

Ideal for mobile sessions

Music producers and content creators who have to work in a confined space but still need to maintain a certain degree of flexibility will find the perfect companion in the ADAM Audio D3V White. The system's USB-C port provides a plug-and-play connection to devices such as tablets and smartphones and provides zero-loss playback, which makes these compact monitoring speakers a highly flexible solution for mobile recording and mixing sessions. Users can adjust the sound to suit the speakers' placement in the room and the size and arrangement of the desktop, as well as to allow for any absorbers in the room, via the three switches on the rear of the left speaker, allowing them to make quicker and more informed decisions about their mix. No need for an audio interface

The ADAM Audio D3V's impressive connectivity includes balanced 6.35mm jack inputs for direct connection to a mixing desk or to instruments such as keyboards and other studio equipment. Users can thus record and mix on the go without the need for an audio interface, which of course means less equipment to carry and a more direct signal path. The scope of delivery includes a pair of desktop stands that can be attached to the underside of the speakers and allow them to be optimally positioned in a stereo triangle on any flat surface, in addition to which each speaker features a threaded bolt to allow it to be mounted on a microphone stand.

Just Fantastic

The sound quality of these are simply fantastic. I had the pleasure of these being demonstrated to me by someone and knew instantly I had to get them myself. When listening to orchestral pieces, it's the first time I've ever experienced the feeling of the orchestra being just right there in front of me with perfect clarity and a full surround feeling without having to be within a treated environment and as loud as I want. I also very much appreciate them being released in a white variation without any upcharge which so many companies do nowadays. Simply amazing and a joy to own and experience on a day to day basis. Absolute must-haves.

Ich betreibe die Boxen mit Ableton Live an meinem Windows 10 Laptop. Einfach über USB angeschlossen und los gehts. Die Boxen wurden ohne Probleme erkannt und von Ableton direkt als Wiedergabemedium ausgewählt. Für die Größe der Boxen ein super Klang. Höhen, Bässe, Mitten....alles da. Und laut genug sind sie sowieso. Über die Klangwahlschalter auf der Rückseite habe ich den Sound noch angepasst. Bei mir stehen die Lautsprecher auf Mikrofonstativen etwas hinter dem Schreibtisch vor einer Wand.

Tolle Reise-Lautsprecher

An den Lautsprechern gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Ich finde den Klang etwas "bauchig", vielleicht um die 300-400 Hz etwas kräftig, und oben bei 10-12 kHz etwas zu wenig. Das ist aber wirklich verkraftbar. Was mich positiv überrascht hat ist das Stereobild und die Klang-Tiefe. Natürlich kann man das nicht mit den A7V im Studio vergleichen, trotzdem erkenne ich beim Abhören auf den D3V in etwa wieder, was ich im Studio zusammen gerührt habe. Das ist super, weil man sie so auf Reisen adaptiv anwenden kann. Ein tolles Werkzeug für unterwegs, finde ich, vor allem, wenn man im Studio eh mit Adam Audio-Monitoren arbeitet.

Petites enceintes, son énorme…

Achetées pour un retour piano numérique dans mon petit studio.
D’abord placées sur le bureau avec le réglage recommandé, elles sonnent pas mal mais produisent une résonance désagréable qui sature dans les médiums au point que j’ai failli les retourner. j’ai alors décidé de confectionner 2 supports avec un inox épais qui ne vibre pas équipées d’un embout 6/8 permettant de fixer les enceintes sur le filetage prévu pour cela. Et tout a changé, un son clair et détaillé, une profondeur des basses surprenantes si on considère la taille, un champ stéréo précis.
Bref, vraiment très satisfait du produit qui rempli parfaitement la fonction pour laquelle je l’ai acheté.
Livraison un peu laborieuse, comme toujours avec la poste. Suivi quasi inexistant, date de livraison annoncée non respectée, hélas.
