Finally available and keeps what it promises!

E_Dusty, 27.03.2018
A half year felt I had to wait for the delivery of the KORG PA-1000. In accordance with my requirements, I did not want to spend the significant additional price for the PA4X series. Finally, about a week before the start of delivery on the Internet, the keyboard was then available in Treppendorf. I immediately called and had one of the devices reserved without obligation.
During my visit, I was given enough time in the demo room to familiarize myself with the new arranger. As a longtime KORG user I found that relatively easy. Supported by the responsible head of department, my remaining questions were clarified very quickly. Thanks again for the competent "Rundumberatung".

But now the most important:
Already in the demo room I was able to convince myself of the functionality of the KORG PA-1000. The operation of the standard functions (style play, songplay) is KORG-typical logically structured and understandable even without lengthy study intuitively. There is nothing to criticize about the number and quality of the sounds and styles anyway. I really like the "new" DNC sounds that my predecessor keyboard did not have for me.
The display can be infinitely adjusted to the brightness requirements and the touch screen reacts quickly and without delay as desired. I find chic compared to the predecessor models the product color, which settles pleasantly from the mostly gray-black or silver-colored competing products. The feel of each Podis and buttons is very pleasant. The partially weighted keyboard supports intonation very well in my opinion.

Already the sound of the two integrated speakers gives an idea of ??what the sound is in the device. My midifiles of the categories "own recordings, standard midifiles and professional PA midifiles" brought to my attention show that in future only a few of my wishes for a corresponding introduction and revision should be left open.

At home, the keyboard was then of course immediately connected to the PA. Soundwise convincing! The styles may lack some variety for my specific application (eg just a polka variation). However, that's a matter of taste and after I assume that soon a "musician" software version will be available, that does not really matter to me.
How far am I now in the context of "training"? In addition to the original play, I have edited existing midifiles and adapted them to my liking. This works great and fast. The editing functions in the sequencer are perfectly applicable. Using the 1750 factory sounds etc., you can create many first-class "performance aids".

This also reveals the reason why I have deducted a star in the rating for service: Just to quickly choose a suitable sound from the variety of on-board resources prepares me yet (still) trouble. Therefore, the availability of a German-language manual with the entprechenden tables of sounds, etc. would certainly be very helpful. This is currently not available. That's why I use the English manual downloaded from the internet. A speedy training is not contrary. The same applies of course to all other new functions, such as KAOSS-FX. For a device in this price range, the availability of a national language manual mE duty. The operating films offered under KORG.DE are usually not available in the rehearsal room.

The songbook supports the functional organization of the Styles and Midis and will be of great help to me in the future. Also known to me from the predecessor function of the jukebox is available. I will certainly play MP3 files only for bridging breaks. However, I'm already curious how the recording function in the context of the creation of exercise MP3 or karaoke versions of the edited songs can be used. Is it cool such recordings by iPad or similar? without large equipment ad-hoc eg at the campfire to the guitar at hand to have.

My conclusion: The PA-1000 has convinced me in the functions I have already used in terms of sound, usability and functionality absolutely. It is in my view in many functions, the big brothers of the PA-4X series and I am looking forward to penetrate into the other features.

Therefore already for me an absolute buy recommendation.
