Great stand for the price
While you can find more affordable options, with K&M stands you don't need to wonder how long it will last. We have K&M mic stands still working perfectly after a decade of use.
This particular stand is fairly basic and sturdy. Won't fall down too easily with an SM58. For noticeably heavier mics, you will want a heavier stand. Height and boom length adjustments are good for most use cases. For drum overheads, the height might be just enough for most situations, but obviously, taller stands will fare better.
Hardware isn't the most appealing stuff, but I recommend staying away from the cheaper stuff, since it WILL break and it will break sooner than you'd want. We have several defunct stands as proof of that. Investing in proper hardware means you won't have to think about it again anytime soon.
Pros:
- sturdy
- adjustments
- price-to-quality ratio

A great mic stand
I've been using this product for over 2 years now in my home studio, and I'm totally satisfied with it. The product lived up to my expectations.
Since the K&M 21070 Black arrived to my home studio, I have been using it with my NT2 A condenser microphone which is mounted upon an SM6 shock mount with a pop filter. So it is under a lot of weight: I never take the shock mounted microphone off of it, only put a dust bag upon it for cover, and leave the mic stand in a way that it does not reach sideways. This way, every time I have to use it, I just adjust it quickly, and I am ready to record.
I had only once accident with this stand, namely the screw that holds the microphone's shockmount slowly let go the shockmount, and after a recording session, the shockmounted microphone abruptly fell on the ground. However, I realized it was my own fault, since every time I adjusted the microphone's angle, I unscrewed it a bit instead of adjusting the stand itself. :)
All in all I am really satisfied with this product, and I eagerly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice sturdy microphone stand in their home studio. :)

Arrived in packaging in perfect condition. Simple set up and very efficient. I've had no problems such as loose joints or sticking. For the price, this holds my Røde NT2A with no problem as long as it is tightly screwed. Sturdy and happy to leave microphones underslung for miking amps when positioned correctly also. Good extension and have used it many times throughout the past 2 years. Great conditioning over time.

K&M 21070 Black
This stand is so much better than any other stand I have purchased, and I've got about x15. Build quality is great, it's solid and stable. Slightly heavier than other stands

I trust this stand to hold my beloved microphone.
There are cheaper stands available, but it is certainly worth paying the extra money to get this one. I was delighted to unpack this because it is because it is a solidly constructed and stable stand. The tightening knobs twist smoothly and tighten without difficulty. I trust this stand to hold my condenser microphone, with shock mount in any position that I choose - without fear of it falling over and damaging it. Buy this one. Do not settle for less. :-)

the best stands around
This stand is a genuine piece of art. Every part of it is secure, sturdy and well built and manufactured.
It allows for maximum flexibility and doesn't topple over easily (unless you're using a huge, heavy mic).
I've used this on:
-Drum overheads
-Vocals
-Acoustic Guitars
-Piano
-Ambience / Room
It holds up well under pretty much any situation, and I can't find any faults with the product whatsoever. I'm sure this will last a long time in my studio.

Very Good Stand
K&M is kind of standard for stage use. I was used to work with cheaper stands, but then came to conclusion that my nerves cost more and switched to these ones.
