Unbelievable Tele sound finally !
So I think so far, this one Tele of mine which I love has had around 5 sets of different pickups in. Ive lived with each one for a year or so. The last set, a Chopper Bridge and SD SH55 neck humbucker lasted two years...sounded great, but as normal I found I was missing that real TELE sound. However...I like to have options...a bit more umph at times...and of course noise free if possible
I decided to give this set a go despite the expense.
wow....just WOW !... now I have the best of both worlds and no hum at all.
They dropped in to the guitar with no issues. Soldering was fiddly but doable. I had to swap the pickguard back from a humbucker one obviously.
Dont hesitate....just buy this. Now i cant put the guitar down....I just play and marvel at what it can do...clean crunch or full on distortion.

classic tele twang without hum
I put these in a cheap beater tele and loved the result. I loved the 2 voices, both very good. No hum. You have to use your own knobs as it comes without them, US thread, not EU, so depending where you are it might be a bit of a hassle. I had knobs from a pedal that fit and looked cool. I had it professionally installed. Greg Koch is a great player and if you like his playing, you will love these.

Superb (Fishman Fluence Greg Koch Gristle-Tone)
Had this pick up installed in my Fender Squier Tele and the tech who fitted it decided he wanted one to. Have recorded with this many times now without the annoying buzzing that normally comes with single coils and this is just way more precise and clear in every way.

Basically single coils without any hum and with built-in boost button. They do exactly what you expect from them and they do it pretty well.
Assembly is easy (there is not too much to do there really) just keep in mind that wires are crap (thin, quite short), whole electronic part is huge so you might need to extend the cavity and potentiometer shaft is slightly bigger than the standard so you might need to buy new knobs. Plus soldering is quite annoying because there is almost no space to operate so you have to be very precise.

This Tele goes to 11
This kit simply fixes every problem you are most likely having with your noisy single coil telecaster. If you've tried noise cancelling stacked single coils, you already know they don't sound right in the mids and they loose the 'spank' you want. These Gristle-Tones give you the traditional tele sound, and with the added boost button, you get that extra push, over the cliff...
