Vintage Black Beauty
Amateur Slash, 16.01.2016
I`ve needed a guitar beside my Gibson les paul standard for a bit of a hi -gain fun.
Well...i found it !
Made in Japan.
Delivered from the best (and for me the only)german music store in Europe.
There`s no better combination.
The guitar came beatifully packed and secured.
WOW effect big time!!!
Nothing new from Thomann;-)(thanks again !)
This is my first guitar from ESP and if i should be honest i was a bit nervous about the quality of the guitar since i read about ESP-s new confusing "labeling system".
Well ...thank God the whole gossip what you can find on different forums on the net are not true.
The guitar is very precisely made to the smallest details and the tone is exactly as i`ve expected from an Eclipse from ESP.
Ok...it does not say ESP with huge letters on the headstock on it...And?!
You can`t see it anyway while playing.
For me it`s the perfect second guitar.

Worth every cent
Vladis, 07.06.2020
I play mostly Metallica songs so ESP with active EMG 81/60 pickups was my dream guitar.

After unboxing the guitar was almost perfectly tuned what suprised me a lot after long trip around the world from Japan to EU and also was perfectly adjusted from factory, I just had to lower the strings to height I’m used to. I need to note, that the craftmanship in ESP factory is the best I ever saw and I can compare it with some big brands I have in my collection like Gibson custom shop and Fender custom shop. The guitar is absolutely flawless in quality.

Positives: Sound is amazing, sustain long, tuning stability more than very good.

Only negative for me is the ESP logo missing on the headstock, because this guitar deserves the ESP family name.

A good choice
Vasja, 28.05.2018
Good guitar and sound, everything is great. But when you get it, you have to go to the repair, because it will have to be adjusted, neck, highness of strings, bridge. And it is possible to deepen the upper lip. I put the strings thicker, in the original there were very very thin strings. The gold coating on the bridge is quickly erased. Also, there is no point to take a matte guitar, as the paint is quickly polished by hands and clothes and become glossy. If you do not pay attention to such things, then everything is great :)
