When used properly these work great. The first one I used I had the mic standing up, but that was not the correct way to use it.

It is meant for hanging the mic. When used the proper way then there are no problems. Would recommend for hanging a mic.

very reliable

i needed something to help me micing different sources without the nedd of chanhing boom and stand each time.
this little adapter allowes me to move the mic in any position i want quiclky and firmly. one twist of a know, set, and lock it again and mi pic stays where it needs to.
cant find ant cons about it. lets you place your microphone right where you want it easy and quick. Higliy recommended.

Great ballhead

Perfect use for ORTF/XY mic placement with a stereobar. It's chunky and holds perfect a set of large condensers upside down. There are some cheaper K&M, Gravity ballheads but they have limited positioning options. The only downside for us europeans is the 5/8 thread. Yes, there's 5/8 to 3/8 thread adapters in the kit, but for such application I'd like to use less adapters as possible, since there's allways posibility to loose parts because of the vibrations of the heavy mics.
