These are great, as long as you recognize that rack-strips don't support a half-unit offset, so you can only use these next to another half-unit panel or device. I've also measured my strips to end in these for a cleaner look and a small offset from the housing. You can of course use two of these to cover a 1U gap for a different look. The reinforced edge makes these quite sturdy and the finish looks clean.

Filling the gap

I don't know why some racks come with extra 1/2u spaces, perhaps some wiggle room?

Anyway, this filled the gaps nicely and now I can finally stop being passive aggressive every time I looked at them

Not much else to say, it's a slab of black metal, the paint was blemish free I guess?

Not a lot of options for a 1/2 rack spacer on here, so this was exactly what I needed. Helps keep a little bit of space for breathing room on my recording rack, but maintains a clean look (which is very important to me). I normally would have purchased the vented version of this, but it was sold out at the time.

Be careful your rack rails can accommodate 1/2 units

I use this to stick labels for my patch bays and the Thomann racks I have cleverly have flexible spacing of the fixing nuts in the rack rails, so the 1/2U spacing works well.
