All acoustic double basses are adjusted and set up individually in our workshop for the desired playing situation/style (jazz, classical, rockabilly, ...). We ask for your understanding that shipping will be delayed by approx. 2-3 days due to these finishing and setting operations. Double basses are delivered by freight carrier. Warm sound, Easy to play.

Received a few months back now so had plenty of time to get to know the instrument.
Beautifully set up and ready to play (after tuning of course), luthiers even mark bridge position for future string changes. Gives a gorgeous deep soulful sound. Strings it comes with are perfect so no need to change them.
Looks amazing, lovely satin finish, the whole instrument feels solid and well constructed. Get a lot of interest when I use it at gigs and when I tell people the price and delivery time it?s met with disbelief. Got mine in 7 days, that from ordering, being set up and delivered to England, if that?s not fast efficient service I don?t know what is.
If you?re looking for a started double bass, or you?ve played a while stop here! You don?t need to look any further, I love this instrument.

Fantastic bass

This bass, although cheapest in its category, punches well above its weight. It has the deep rich tone that you would expect from an instrument four times the price. Don’t be fooled by the fact that the body is laminate, the sound it produces is warm and sustained, more in line with what you would expect from a solid bass.
If you’re looking to get into playing double bass you couldn’t wish for a more affordable way than the Thomann 111TS.
Also, the delivery and service provided by Thomann is second to none.

Excellent value and great service!

Great looking bass in a satin finish (not totally clear from the pic). Came well set up and marked from the guys at the workshop and with a set of Gut-A-Like strings sounds and plays great! A few little blemishes to the finish but nothing surprising considering the price point.

Great bass for the beginner or if you do alot of gigs.
good bang for the buck instrument, in terms of durability, sound, overall a decent instrument!
