Saved me from buying a whole new speaker

Once I'd figured out how to remove the original battery from my speaker, I ordered this battery in the hope that it would prevent me from having to buy a whole new PA speaker as mine was no longer holding any charge.

The battery worked straight away as soon as it was attached.

ADVICE:

1) It is recommended that a new lithium battery of this kind is charged for 24 hours when first recieved

2) It is also essential that if the speaker goes some time without use, it must be charged at least every 6 months to maintain the battery's life.

Not charging the battery every couple months when not being used will result in the battery going flat and not charging, this is what happened to my original battery.

Perfect replacement

The battery in my well used Samson Expedition Express was not holding its charge and trying switching it on it would make a terrible buzzing noise. If plugged in to the power it would work fine, but the the main purpose of this is for its portable use. I finally had enough courage to unscrew all the screws of the back panel and after moving a plastic protection sheet out of the way discovered the battery.
This replacement is a perfect fit, and has a slightly higher power rating (2.6 AHr compared to the original 2.2 Ahr) . Now it's back to new, and working as expected.
Much cheaper than having to buy a new portable PA box !
