Surprisingly good price-quality!

Nice natural finish, surprisingly beautiful woods, the lacewood tuning pegs work smoothly, the nut is well-done and the action is very nice right out of the box. The sound is full-bodied and resonant; the instrument has a good dynamic response, and overall feels very good.

I really like the slightly longer scale length and the simple looks. Mine came with bird motif rosettes (glued-on cardboard?), unlike in the pictures, but I tore them off, and actually think removing them might have made the sound ever so slightly better.

All in all I am very pleased with this oud, considering the price range of course.

If you're looking for an affordable Arabic type oud in Europe, I think this one might be a smart option - especially considering that Thomann is such a trustworthy seller!

Diese Oud ist ein gut verarbeitetes und optisch sehr schönes Instrument. Die Intarsien sind aufwendig gemacht, wenn auch nicht perfekt fehlerfrei, dies fällt aber erst bei genauerem Hinsehen auf. Besonders schön sind die sehr gut gearbeiteten Muster über den Klanglöchern.
Für mich als Hobby-Gittaristen / Ukulelenspieler ist die Bespielbarkeit eine Herausforderung, da man ohne Bünde auskommen muss. Die Übungszeit ist aber gut investiert, da der Klang der Oud sehr schön ist und eine "typische arabische" prägnante Atmosphäre verbreitet. In klassisch arabischer Stimmung klingen sowohl die Basstöne als auch die Höhen sehr gut, wenn auch die hohen Töne etwas dominieren. Das schadet dem Klangeindruck aber überhaupt nicht, eher im Gegenteil.
Insgesamt ist diese Oud ihr Geld wert und macht mir große Freude. Die Gesamtqualität würde ich mit einer preislich ähnlichen Mittelklasse-Akustikgitarre vergleichen, also ein gutes Einsteigerinstrument.
Im übrigen eignet sie sich auch als authentisches Instrument für Mittelalterevents, die zeitlich im frühen Mittelalter (9. Jahrhundert) verortet sind.

évaluation Thomann Arabian Oud De Luxe

je débute dans la musique arabo-andalouse et le son du oud me plait. Je pratique chez moi en autodidacte.
Ce oud a plusieurs défauts:
- il se dérègle très souvent
- après une dizaine d'heures d'utilisation la plaque de touche commence à se creuser sous les cordes 3 et 4 à l'emplacement de la note Fa pour les cordes 3 et Do pour la 4
J'aime le timbre de ce oud qui est assez profond, il manque un peu de sustain, mais je suppose que pour ce prix, il n'y a peut-être pas mieux.
Si la touche ne se creuse pas plus, je le recommande comme oud d'étude, sinon comme décoration dans le salon
