It's fine if you don't have a bright voice

I must preface this with stating the obvious that every voice is different and not every microscope fits every voice. I know a few people who use and like this mic.
That being said for my voice it was really not suitable. I have a bright sounding voice and the reduction in hights that this mic has, really works against me. I've tried using it for clean high rock/pop type of vocals and rock and distortion/rattle vocals.
Think twice before you get this if you sing higher stuff or have a bright tembre.
Other than that, it sounds smooth and I can see how it could be nice for other voice types and genres.

used this on my main female vocalist, and with a flat tuned system it fits his voice in the system without any EQ. perfect for german singers, but mostly females, or younger males

Superbe sur les voix !!!

Utilisé principalement sur une voix féminine en concert ayant un registre très large ( passant du black metal le plus saturé à la pop la plus mielleuse dans un même set), le M81 est très polyvalent. Plus linéaire en terme de fréquences que son frère le M80, il n'est jamais trop "dur" dans le haut du spectre. La réjection est optimale ce qui en fait une bête de scène.
Essayé aussi devant un ampli guitare ou un ampli basse, il s'en sort très fièrement au point de reléguer mon SM57 au poste de décapsuleur de bière. Fabrication solide et esthétique sobre mais belle, un bel investissement que l'on ne peut pas regretter.

¡Mi micrófono de voz perfecto!

Después de girar con los típicos SM58 y micrófonos por el estilo... Éste hace que mi voz sea como debe ser. Perfecto. Encontré el micro de mi vida. Los técnicos de sonido también me lo agradecen, los agudos son sedosos y no estridentes... Y graves aterciopelados. Además no recoge mucho ruido de fondo.
