Great versatile distortion pedal

The Magus Pro is a very versatile little pedal. There is not a single setting on this pedal that isn’t usable. You can turn the knobs and the small toggle switch all you like and the sound the pedal produces will be completely usable. And not only usable but very very nice. There’s basically three pedals in one compact enclosure and you can clearly hear the differences between the three modes. The gain range is from nice low gain overdrive, to crunchy distortion all the way to fuzz territory. This pedal pairs up well with my tubescreamer style pedal for all my overdrive and distortion needs, but I’m still not sure if the fuzz the Magus Pro produces beats or compares to my actual fuzz pedal. All in all this is a very good pedal for not too much money. Go get it.

For money and the size this is great

I've previously owned another cheap rat clone but this is much better sounding and More versatile with three different modes ( FAt, Classic, Turbo). Size is pretty neat and build quality is pretty good. If The design and The name would be cooler then it would propably get superficial minds to get more satisfied. If you're looking for decent rat clone I can recommend this. Just remember that all the gear snobs will look down on you because they think you should have vintage of boutique version of this.

A good pedal but not what it is compared to.

This pedal is "advertised" as a RAT copy/clone. I bought one so that I could have that RAT sound with the addition of the options on the switch. However, after placing it on my board and comparing against my own RAT with a pedal switcher, it was clear that they are not the same. Whilst we are in the same ballpark, the EQ is not the same and it didn't have the same "chewy crunchiness" that the RAT had.
However, if you are not specifically looking for a RAT clone/replacement, then this may work for you. It starts with a crunchy overdrive and goes up to silicon fuzz. The modes are good and it gives you a good boost capability that the original RAT does not have.
