Alright, I will admit it – I am usually more of a review lurker than someone who actually posts their thoughts. But the Orange Two Stroke? It deserves every bit of praise it gets – and then some.
I was after a boost pedal that could give my signal a kick without mangling my tone into a fuzzy mess. Enter the Two Stroke, stage left – and let me tell you, it absolutely nailed it. The boost? Spot on. Not too much, not too little – just the right amount to crank things up without going overboard.
I use it in front of my amplifier, where it shines, but it holds its own in the effects loop too... it all depends on what you would like to do with it...
But then... the two-band parametric EQ. Oh. My. Word. This thing is a tone-sculpting wizard. A twist here, a tweak there, and suddenly your sound is tighter, brighter, punchier – whatever your inner sonic alchemist fancies. It is like having a tiny, orange tone sorcerer on your pedalboard.
This beauty is not going anywhere. It is locked in for good. And at that price? Honestly, you would be mad not to give it a go. If you need a boost with brains – and brawn – this is it. I would 100 percent buy it again. Maybe even twice. Just in case.
