Exellent tool for crowning frets

I had a few frets too high and they caused crackling.
So I bought this tool, which allows you to file/sand guitar frets appropriately regardless of the thickness and height of the frets.

The quality of this MusicNomad Diamond Coated Crowning File tool is excellent.

- you can file the frets lower while taking into account their roundness.
- it is easy to work with this without damaging the wood of the guitar fretboard
- by filing with the right force, the job is done excellently, easily and quickly
- of course, the height of the fret must be constantly monitored when working with the tool intended for it.
- the surface of the fret is filed well with this
- easy to hold in your hands, does not slip and stays straight well
- the result of the work with this is good and finally you can finish and polish the frets with, for example, sandpaper intended for this purpose, steel wool and cleaning/sanding rubbers, etc.

An excellent tool for fretwork.

Todella laadukas viila. Olen kokenut kitaranrakentaja/-huoltaja, voin todeta, että parempaa nauhaviilaa ei ole vielä löytynyt.

Good crowning file

I chose to edit my previous review. At first I wasn't happy with some things, but after spending some more time using the file I'm very happy with my decision. This was my first ever crowning file, it works fast, and it's pretty safe due to the non-abrasive zone in the middle. It has a depth of .0185 inch, so you can crown very low frets with it.

Fast and easy

I´m quite new to fretwork and this file does an amazing job really fast. It is a bit rough though so you will have to spend some time polishing after crowning, but the results are really good.
