It's actually pretty sturdy!
The stand is suprisingly sturdy. It's not one of those wobbly cheap mic stands.
The only problem is that I purchased the stand for an electric guitar, but it's designed for an acoustic.
It works with an electric, but the stand can't secure an electric guitar without some extra pieces of foam or similar.
