Poor quality control - Be ready to have the guitar replaced or fixed.
Miika S. 26.04.2021
Made in China Jackson Kelly, with no quality control whatsoever.
While Thomann states; that they sell the product from the factory as is, which is understandable.
While the Jackson factory guality control, however, had dropped the ball and missed the following flaws. Flaws which are blatantly observable.

- The frets have not been sanded nor polished, almost at all. They rattle very audibly when bending. Also many of the frets are wildly different height especially from the 1-5 area & every other fret is slightly higher than the other.
- The bridge is raised so high, that the strings coming from the body's holes are touching the behind of the bridge itself first, before the bridge intonation blocks. Lowering the bridge won't help because then the strings will hit the high frets in the neck. The standard 9-42 gauge strings 1-4 (Dgbe) hit the bridge, but with a thicker gauge probably all strings might end up hitting the bridge.
- The bolt-on neck is not all the way in the body's mounting hole and is too high, causing the bridge to be setup so high.

All problems on this particular guitar add up to one another and the process to have it replaced is slow and an inconvenience.

Flaws aside:
+ Mics sound ok. The set up is too high, nothing that couldn't be fixed by the user.
+ Neck and body finishing look ok. (Apart from the complaints above)
+ Guitar is fairly light.
+ 24 fret 25.5" (648mm) neck scale feels good.
+/- Playability is good (Only if the things mentioned above were up to standard)
- Neck side strap lock placing could be better, letting go of the neck causes very fast neck dive. But that is fixable with know-how.
- - - Is not up to standard quality.

Would the things mentioned on this guitar, been made with a higher standard, and better quality control, it would easily be a 4-5 star guitar.

Hyvä aloittelijan kitara
Tosijjaan 15.12.2020

Made in china. Low budget guitar so the quality is what it is. Though if you're a beginner you don't wanna spend too much at start.

The epitomy of Heavy Metal
-JK- 31.07.2024
Jackson JS32T Kelly is good guitar for the price, but it's not for beginners. First of all, the looks are amazing! It's Heavy Metal in it's purest form. Makes you instantly chug fast riffs and mosh. Jackson has made great job on looks here. It features a lot of great details, like pearloid shark fin inlays that you would find on more expensive USA Jacksons.

Finish was flawless, at least on my guitar. Fret work was good, much better than in the JS22-series guitars. Of course, I had to round the fret ends which were sharp right out of the box.

Tuners are cheapy, and I had to change those for Gotoh-tuners. Mics were quite okay for a this price. Main issue is the neck dive problem, which is common in these guitars. I had to change the strap pin location closer to neck, to the neck plate. It fixed the problem.

So for the price, you can get good guitar here if you are willing to put some effort to modify it.
