Ibanez JEMJR-WH

Parempaa laatua tähän hintaan ei voi saada. Työn jälki on viimeisteltyä, kaikki toimii moitteettomasti ja kalliimman mallin perusominaisuudet ovat mukana.
Ainakin itselleni kaulan profiili ja leveät otenauhat istuvat hyvin. 24-nauhainen otelauta avaa aivan uusia mahdollisuuksia.
Vakiomikit kelpaavat ainakin kotitarvesoittoon, tehoa niistä lähtee kiitettävästi. Tällä hinnalla ei mikeiltä voi vaatia aivan huippusuorituksia, mutta jo pelkästään tallamikin vaihtamalla soundia voisi parantaa ja kokonaishinta jää siltikin olemattomaksi.
Säätämistä kitara tietysti vaati, erityisesti intonaatiota on pitänyt etsiä. Vibran jousista löytyi onneksi tiukennusmahdollisuus, joskin se voisi siltikin olla jäykempi.
Pitkäksi (35 vuotta) venyneen soittotauon jälkeen aioin ensin hankkia Straton, mutta siinähän on omat rajoitteensa. Ibanezin Steve Vai -kitaroissa on modernissa muodossa mukana myös perinteinen stratosoundi, kun viisijakoisen katkaisijan toisessa asennossa yhdistyvät yksikelainen keskimikki ja kaulahumbucker yksikelaisena.
Samat ominaisuudet ovat tässä halvemmassakin mallissa, jonka hintaa luulin ensin painovirheeksi. Uudelleen soittamista aloittaessa en halunnut sijoittaa ylettömästi rahaa, onhan mahdollista että en ole tauon aikana kehittynyt. Olen jo luvannut itselleni kalliimman mallin heti kun Jibboom menee tempossa.
Aivan ongelmitta ei käyttöönotto sujunut. Virittäessäni onnistuin heti katkaisemaan kielen, eihän tällainen vanhan liiton soittaja tunnistanut uudenlaista lukitusta. Mukana tuli kyllä perusteellinen ohjekirja, mutta käyttöohjeen lukemiseenhan ei aikuinen mies sorru.

Pros

Ibanez version of floyd is good haven't noticed anything wrong with it and the guitar stays tuned when using it fully, but I haven't used it that much yet so can't really say it's absolute good.

Mics are I think spot on and really like the sounds. Seems this guitar can produce all nececcary tones through them very happy with that :)

Monkey grip is actaully very useful when putting guitar on and off and moving it around this feature should be on every guitar! Helps alot!

Also the tree of life is one of the if not the most beautiful artwork I have seen on a fretboard and gives much joy to look at when playing :) There should be more this kind of fretboards on guitars !!!

Minuses

Guitar won't stay in tune long times and seems the low E, A, and D can't be in tune same time while other higher strings G,B and e are. Lowen 3 strings are always little bit flat and it's not possible to tune them perfecly when other 3 stings are. I Don't know is this floyd problem in general or just this guitar, but that's how it is.

Biggest minus though is and this makes this guitar look very cheap cheap like 50 € guitar!!!

After using this guitar about 14 months saddles has started to loose coating and "A" string has loose so much that the last finish which I think the saddles are made from is now showing. I think they are made from copper or bronze since the color match to that metall. This is very dissapointing when compairing this guitar to my jackson dinky 1 which is over 10 years old and none of it's saddles has loose any coating and that guitar costed me 100 € used!!!

I now have to replace the saddles since they start to look very unggly and it will cost many tens of euros!!!

Frets has also flaws. When I accidentally sometime move high E out from top of the frets it gets stuck between the fret and board so there is gabs in some of the frets and the board and string get's caught between that. This should not be happening on this expensive guitar!

There also was little wood splinter between the scratchplate and guitar body and thus the shield had this little bent. I had to open few screws and then remove the splinter and bend the shield a bit so I wouldn't have that bumb in it becuase of the splinter after I removed it. Unbelievable sloppy craftsmanship there I would say!!!

Some painting problems too I noticed in some parts of the guitar there is paint dropplets which occur when you put too much paint in the same are too fast.

I would rate this guitar more like 200 € guitar rather than 500 €
I am little bit dissapointed specially becuase of the saddless! I have never heard or seen this problem before.
