I am a beginner bassist and I can say that I am really happy with this beautiful short-scale Ibanez bass! The quality and sound are excellent for the price. I have the one with the purple finish and I cannot stop looking at it - very beautiful! The hardware is very good and sturdy and I am not sure if the machine head is just the stock one but it does a very good job of keeping the instrument in tune while practicing. I used to play guitar so it is a very smooth transition for me. It may not be anybody's preference but it is for me for sure and I would recommend it to beginners with a guitar "background" due to its size, beginners in general, and kids.

I'm a guitarist recording at home and needed a bass since using a pitch shifter to down tune my guitar wasn't working anymore. Feels comfortable, looks great and the quality of the gios has gone a lot way since the early gio guitars i have tried over the years.

Seems to be a very good instrument for the price.Very light and ideal for beginner especially those who has experience with guitars due to short scale

Comme d'habitude avec Ibanez, on a un instrument au rapport qualité/prix très performant. C'est une basse destinée au jeunes débutants qu'un diapason standard pourrait rebuter. Cependant ce n'est absolument pas un jouet pour enfant. La qualité globale est surprenante: ajustements, vernis et accastillages sont réalisés avec soin. Réglage de l'intonation et de l'action des cordes à faire après la sortie du carton, et éventuellement une reprise de la courbure du manche. A ce tarif, aucun luthier n'a fait de réglages en sortie d'usine. Concernant le son et le confort de jeu, c'est du très très bon. Les micros sont qualitatifs et proposent une belle palette d'expression. Ma compagne (qui est de petit gabarit et violoniste de surcroit ) s'amuse et progresse très vite avec cette basse légère qu'elle préfère à celles que je possède déjà à la maison. Je ne peux que recommander cet achat. Excellente après quelques reprises de réglages.
