I used this to replace FloydRose 1000 in EVH 5150 Standard. Great improvement in quality. Action of this trem feels more accurate and precise.

One star deduction because of the factory radius of the trem. Low E-string is way too low for compound radius neck. Thomann does not have GOTOH SSM-02 shim-kit in their store, but managed to find one set from local shop.

Best available alternative for a decent price! I bought it as a replacement for a Floyd Rose Special ( not so sure what's so special about it....) which was installed on my Fender Player HSS Floyd Rose.
Much more stable and pivots smoothly. Excellent Trem!
One little thing to keep in mind: The screws to lock the strings are a few mils longer than the Floyd Rose's. This might be a problem for the cavity in the guitar. I solved this to use the original FR's screws which fit perfectly!
