An absolute Winner

I ordered this stand for 3 reasons:
- 2 legs
-Gibraltar brand because all of my other hardware is Gibraltar and I wanted it to match
-THE CLUTCH

Firstly, it was extremely nicely packaged when it showed up. Paper wrapped individual parts, plastic cover around footboard, bubble wrap, absolutely protected. Assembling it is obviously very easy, but the spring tension adjustability is great, solid construction, and the speed clutch is incredible.

The speed clutch uses the same mechanism as pneumatic tools, which I think is the single best design choice of any clutch ever built for the gigging drummer who had to load in and load out quickly (I do not use drop clutches).

The response on the stand is perfectly adequate for busy hi hat work and has not showed me a single downside so far. I am unreasonably excited about this purchase.

[UPDATE] I have ONE (1) note for improvement. It does not have velcro or spurs on the bass plate so it slides on carpet. Solution: I bought velcro and superglue from the hardware store, cut and glued one strip to the bottom and let it set overnight, so now it's absolutely perfect.
