8-string Boomers for Boomers lovers.

I've used Boomers for over 10 years on my guitars. Good value for money, long-lasting and nice tone. Started with 6-string, moved to 7-string and now own my first 8-string (HB R-458MN). I've tried a D'addario set and still like Boomers better. Have a great low end on 8-string. There is slight muddiness, but I'll put that on the pickups as I've had wonderful low end with Dimarzio-pickups (X2N, Air Norton, Tone Zone) and Boomers on seven-stringers. If you liked the feel and sound of Boomers on six or seven, you'll like them on 8.

Awesome thight strings!

Great strings with a High Tension. Clear sound on most strings.
In my case, the low F# went a bit dull after a few days. Not sure if I can relate this to the strings themselfs. ( I might have done something wrong?)
Overall, it is not a huge problem and I am very happy with this set.
Would recommend! :-)

Great for the price

Bought this for my Cort KX508MS II 8 string which is 26.5"-28", and in F# standard. It's been about a week and they still feel and sound great after hours of playing every day.
Only complaint is the F# is very dull compared to how bright the rest of the strings are, but I think that might be due to the 80 gauge. If brightness is important to you, I recommend going for a lighter gauge on the bottom, which I plan to do.
