Etwas was mehr Strat auch auf anderen Gitarren

Ich habe mir den EMG RPC relativ blind und ohne Vorwissen für meine selbstgebaute 7-Saitige mit passiven Seymour Duncan Humbuckern gekauft, da diese mir vor allem am Stegpickup ein wenig zu sehr mulmten. Nach den ersten Tests muss ich sagen: ich bin sehr zufrieden. Die Veränderung ist zwar nur subtil aber genau das ist es, was ich gebraucht habe. Durch meinen 5-Way-Switch, der die Humbucker mitunter splittet, kann ich so in manchen Pickupkombis mit dem mittleren Single-Coil sogar Strat-mäßige Sounds erzielen. Also nächstes kommt der SPC rein, der die Mitten boostet. Ich hoffen mal, das Ergebnis ist ähnlich "erhellend".

Wie ein Vorredner schon anmerkte, ist leider die Anleitung nicht für passive PUs ausgelegt. Da der Poti aber übersichtlich beschriftet wurde, stellt dies kein Problem dar. Auch in Kombination mit einer anderen Buchse als der mitgelieferten (die ich aufgrund ihrer kurzen Bauform nicht verwenden konnte), tut das Ding seinen Dienst und das ganze mit nur sehr wenig Lötaufwand (im Idealfall sogar komplett ohne) dank praktischer Steckverbindungen.

Mit SPC zusammen die Mörderkombo für den ultimativen Stratsound. Damit bringt man auch Vintage Pups zum braten wie mit einer Paula. Geniales Teil. Für mich unverzichtbarer und in all meinen Strats eingebaut.
