Pickup Set for Electric Guitar

The James Hetfield signature set captures the clarity and punch of a passive pickup while maintaining the well-known "active" tone. They were designed according to the pickups James Hetfield has been using for 30 years. More power and a fuller low-end at the neck position, tight attack with less inductance for a cleaner bass at the bridge.

Super good pickups

Best EMG set available. they do what they say. Combine the pristiness, of an active PUP and the characteristics and attack of a passive PUP. I have these on several of my guitars, installed them on many of my customers guitars, and wil continue doing them both!

Perfect for Thrash Metal ... and more !

This set is a good alternative for the classic 81/85 - 81/60 combo ! A bit more open and less compressed, but still carries a looot of punch !

It does the Thrash Metal thing super well and can be also used in other genres with no problem. Neck position delivers beautiful cleans, while the bridge brings a lot of power and harmonics.

I was expecting a tad bit more volume, but nothing drastic that would be a deal breaker - I think that`s just the psychological reaction when you buy something with James name on it.

i used these for a while now and if u want a classic emg sound they sure beat any other emgs but id recommend fr a little mroe fishman fluence are way better

I purchased these pickups to replace the EMG 81/60 combo in my ESP EX. Installation was a breeze thanks to the solderless system. As soon as I plugged in my guitar. WOW. A larger dynamic range, more output, these are LOUD. 10/10 would recommend, and not just for Metallica songs.
