The perfect switch for the job

I wanted to upgrade the pickups and the electronics on my Ibanez RX170 and I chose to go with EMG pickups. I could've used the original pickup selector that came with the guitar, but I didn't like the flimsy plasticy feel of it so I decided to go with the EMG switch.

Installing the switch was a breeze apart from the fact that the switch was slightly too large for the cavity, but with some desperation and brute force I was able to lug it in place.

Build quality is excellent and the switch operates just as I had hoped. Would definitely recommend and would buy again in a similar situation. The ease of installing the switch is well worth the money which isn't much more expensive than getting a conventional 5 way switch from an established brand.

All in all I'm very happy with the product, the only caveat being that the switch might be slightly larger than the one you're replacing it with, so be mindful of the size of the control cavity!

Perfect for EMG

Perfect solderless solution for EMG pickups. Very easy and quick to install. It will make changing EMG pickups very easy. Just make sure you have enough depth in the control cavity to install it - example it will not fit on very thin body guitars.

Bought this as I bought EMG 81/S/HA to install in my Ibanez Jem. Solderless kits for 3 pickup guitars need this switch. It works well and saves space in the control cavity.

ATTENTION aux guitares slims !!!

Trop large et trop haut pour mon Ibanez S970WRW-NT.

Néanmoins ;
en dessoudant le typon des connecteurs (2 vis, 4 soudures) le switch descend jusqu'aux vis de la plaque et rentre en hauteur (prévoir 2 vis plus petites pour re solidariser le switch).
Le typon des connecteurs arrive à se placer perpendiculairement au switch qui est à relier par 4 fils entre les plots + un plastique isolant pour le dessous.

Et ça marche super, pas de parasite ! des EMGHZ (H4, S3 et H4A) qui ont la patates !!!
Oui ce switch fonctionne aussi avec une config passive :)
