Ecler Eternal Crossfader

I spent years thinking that I should buy one some day, but "not now" since I don't scratch that often anymore. I was devastated to find that Thomann removed this from catalogue a while back and very happy when it re-appeared listed into Thomann site, so I bought it instantly when it was available again (I browsed Ecler products by chance to see if there was something new and was positively shocked to find this fader listed again). Only other place in the world where I was able to find this for sale was double price + taxes + customs toll into EU.

This fits even some if not most of the older Nuo 2.0 mixers, mine is more than a decade old. Works like a charm, but very challenging to install due to at least my older Nuo having very limited space inside. I had to practically dismantle the mixer and put it back together, which took some time, but it was worth the trouble due to the fader being silk smooth. Wasn't difficult either if you have spent any time with a screwdriver, but you have to be careful not to break anything and some of the wires are delicate. Also take care that you install the fader in correct position.

NOTE: check out the serial number, as this fader will only work properly with Ecler Nuo 2.0 starting from certain date! You can find the info from searching the internet forums (Google search will get you far) as I was able too, but unless your mixer is very very old you should be safe.

I own an Ecler Nuo 2.0 and a HAK360.

The Ecler 2.0 mixer is compatible with the Eternal Crossfader.

This fader is not an aftermarket unit.

Installing it is very simple. It is a straight swap.
Be mindful that the circuitry that is exposed on the fader needs face to towards the backend of the mixer for the correct orientation.

Additional things to keep in mind:
- The ON LED fibre optic piece is delicate.
- Around each rotary knob (these get removed when removing the top faceplate), there are plastic bushings around each knob stem, that might be loose so be sure to check each one for a press fit.

The fader cuts extremely sharp.
It is very smooth and is very light on the touch.
It also feels very sturdy.

I did purchase some additional spares, since I own a HAK360 as well.

The Eternal faders are not readily available, so Thomann might be our only source for getting these Worldwide.

Ordering from Thomann was an easy process.
Customer service (including order desk and tech support) provided responses very quickly.

Ship tracking information was provided when the item was shipped out from Germany so I could track the item while in transit.

What can I say but this is the best crossfader I've ever used! I put it into my recently picked up Ecler Nuo 2.0 and it cuts like a dream. It was easy to install and you can alter the curve using the controls on the front of the Nuo 2.0. I got it to a nice tight cut, and I think the inductive fader technology really makes cuts sound better. I'm not exactly sure what the technology entails, but my cuts immediately sounded smoother and not as harsh. I've used the DJM-S11 with Magvel Pro improved edition and this fader is better than that one to me. The fader moves so light and fast, that it's easier to pull off complex scratches with it. I'm not the type to trick myself into thinking something newer is better. I'm pretty good at determining if something works/sounds/looks better or worse, and I can definitively say this fader is definitely the top tier fader you can get. I'm glad Thomann carries it and I hope they have it for a long time to come. I may buy another one just to make sure I have a backup in case something happens to this one I purchased. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Amazing fader... get one now!!
