I own all three of the dragonfly beaters. My favorite one is the medium kanvas one...
This soft flannel beater has no attack, and it's quiet.
It's really cool if you're playing with brushes, and you want to add some bass drum strokes especially if you're a bebop drummer.
The weight is similar to the vater bomber. The attack and volume is lower than the vater bomber.

Excellent quality and durability thanks to the many layers of felt.

Although the beater is quite heavy, the attack is soft and the sound is quiet enough for acoustic jazz in small rooms. Beater allows you to play at normal power without changing technique for a quieter sound. This beater is also definitely more durable than the Vater VBVB Vintage and VicFirth VFVKB3
