I bought it for Feedback Modules' mixer preamps. For that use it's really nice and doesn't take too much space. Only Euro rack that I own. Considering adding Erica K-Phaser at some point. Its kind of an effect box for my non-Euro setup.

Previously I bought Pod26, which was not deep enough for those modules to fit in. Obviously my mistake.

I like my other 4ms POD so I bought another one

A basic powered case yes... but I've found that having a range of smaller cases helps me better focus on patching instead of one large case (where tend to get easily overwhelmed). Smaller cases are also handy for travel and mobile setups. I'm pairing this with my Pod60 and it works fine with the 4ms Barrel Cable. A big advantage of the Pod34X is that it accommodates many more modules, up to 55mm in depth as opposed to Pod60 which is limited to 33mm deep modules.

Suitable for deeper modules (like ES-9), and it's possible to daisy-chain couple of Pods using barrel connectors and single power brick.
