I already owned a Mark 1 Kicker, but I found it’s dampening a little too intrusive. I was going to cut it down to give a bit less dampening, but then I saw and decided to buy this, the Mark 4 Kicker.

For me, I like the bass drum to have a bit of “air”, where I can hear the resonance of the heads after the initial thump. I’ve got this with the Mark 4 Kicker. Great attack but with the roundness of the drum coming through.

I’m playing a 24” x 14” bass drum with a Remo PS3 batter and an Emperor display head with a 6” hole.
