We switched to this unit after having tried the Radial Engineering Pro Iso. Although the Radial was recommended for quality, its sound level was too attenuated (passive). The ART CleanBox is active and allows you to adjust the volume. We use it for de-balancing a distant mixer-aux-out signal before it is fed into a live stream. Great sound quality with no noticeable degredation, and well build. The fact that it even allows two-way conversion is great, although we only needed one way. Recommended highly!
Well made, works OK, As a UK user was disappointed that the power supply had the continental connector, could have come with an adaptor. Good performance virtually no extra noise in signal path. We used it to get two mono outputs from one stereo input. Could you put a mono mix button on the next version?
Using mine to couple an old mixer, just a rocksolid choise for no money, only flaw, there is an external psu with a 9v and its not the same connector as guitar pedals, so dont lose the psu, og lable it.
good and usefull. its dual. you can use it two time at the same time. one section is from bal to unbal. and second separate unbal to bal. of course you can use patch and got bal to bal or unbal to unbal.
Sound quality without any noticeable degredation. I purchased this in order to connect a DAC with XLR connectors to a stereo amplifier with RCA connectors. In this setup it is also easy to connect an active subwoofer by AV jack-RCA cable in addition to the amplifier
this little box is really useful to keep with you and solves lots of issues. I regularly use to take XLR +4dB into my ATEM Extreme, and having the pot on the front means I can adjust the incoming level without needing to change the software.
