The low price is the first thing I saw. And the fact that you don't need to connect with a computer in a live setup.
The menu is simple and it's easy to get started.
With the free software for pc and mac, you just take the samples you need, drag them into the converter, and drag the wav file into your SD card, and insert it into the MPX8.
But I found out that there was some errors:
I made a drumloop in pro tools, perfect when I loop the playback, but as I import it to the MPX8, it loses a half a second or so. That means that the loop is no longer perfectly in beat, but skips the half a second.
So I had to insert the half second in pro tools. It took me about 5-6 different timed samles to get it right..
Also sometimes it inserts noise after the sample. It's not in the sample if I play it on my mac, but when I import it to the MPX8 it's there.. Strange!
I got rid of it by adding a face to my sample in the end..
Alot of work, but it's okay for the price. The soundquality sounds a little compressed but not much.
All and all a good sampler for a small setup.
