The fact that you can get great sounds from a tube amp with very low power, should be no secret. Small amplifiers have the advantage that you can fully crank it up at home, as opposed to a 100-Watt half-stack and yet enjoy the desired end-stage sounds. In our three part video, we compare low-budget models under 400 euros according to the following criteria:
- Sound at low volume
- Volume for the best possible sound
- Sound with a single coil or a humbucker
- Sound with a built-in speaker or an external 2 x 12 cab
At the end of the video we condensed the different sound samples for easier comparisons. Enjoy!
