It’s your time to (re)mix – musical contest

And we have the winners!

Once again we ran a Christmas song contest and once again the participation was beyond our expectations! We were overwhelmed by the talent, creativity and effort put into each and every one of your entries. Thank you, you brought the spirit of Christmas to our eyes and ears! 🎄🎉

But unfortunately only a few winners could be chosen… there were so many good entries that we decided to give two honorable mentions a 50-euro voucher as well. Without further ado, here are the winners:

Christmas Songs are nice… but what about a Black Metal Jingle Bells cover?

Grab your instrument, a camcorder (or smartphone) and off you go: we want to hear the madness inside your head! All you have to do is remix/rearrange a Christmas song by picking one from the list below and do it in one of the genres listed below. Record your performance and share it on your social network channels and win amazing prizes!

⚠️ Participation & Deadline ⚠️

• Pick one of the 10 Christmas Songs from the list below
• Pick one of the genres from the list below
• Re-arrange the Christmas song in the genre that you picked, and make a video of yourself playing/performing the song.
• Any type of performance is allowed: full band, guitar cover, vocal cover or a dj/electronic remix.
• You don’t have to necessarily record the song and make a full production: a spontaneous performance filmed on camera is good enough. The choice is up to you!
• Audio and video quality should be acceptable quality-wise – we must be able to understand/hear what’s going on!
• Upload your video between November 30th and December 19th to Facebook (feed video), YouTube (video) and/or Instagram (reel/IGTV/video)
• Set your profile/entry to public – we must be able to view/find it!
• Include the appropriate hashtags: #ItsYourTimeToRemix and #Thomann so that we can find your posts using the search function.
• Additional text to the video is of course always welcome 😉
• The jury consisting of our community managers will announce the winners on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
• Once again: Deadline is December 19th 23:59 CET!

The winner is not decided based on the actual music, but rather the overall package i.e. originality, creativity, humor, entertainment, performance and musical performance. Please do not forget to set your profile to “public”, otherwise your video can not be viewed and would therefore be excluded from participating in the contest.
