Sound unfortunately much too bright and a bit "cheap" or rattling
Sven aus U., 18.10.2009
The sound of the 18 "Custom China of Zildjian is probably known to drummers. Normally, the experience shows that the series streak at Zildjian is usually not very high. Thus a tank purchase at the mail-order company is not an issue.
The quality of the basins is as mentioned above very high quality, however, this China in comparison with the predecessor (bought about 3 years ago, only used in the studio) nevertheless rattling and somehow cheap. On top of that, the volume was unfortunately not embedded in the Sonor and Tama set and rather unpleasant.
I think the following is true: If you count on thrashy sounds, you will be able to achieve the desired effect for classical music and metal - but the sound of the pianoforte is difficult to control for (blues) rock and punk And is rather unpleasant.
For the live operation, however, these are extremely robust plates, which can not be damaged.
We have returned this basin after 2min test again. The main reason, however, was clearly the sound, which simply did not match our expectations (or the predecessor). In terms of quality you can not go wrong with Zildjian as well as of course the well-known Thomann delivery.
