Man muss den Sopran-Sound lieben und hier noch eins draufsatteln. Es ist und bleibt natürlich ein Saxofon, wobei die Tonhöhe schon an eine Geige oder eine Flöte denken lässt. Vor allem im mittleren Bereich kommen die Töne klar und die Intonation ist gut (das schöne Instrument ist halt ein Yanagisawa). Schwierigkeiten habe ich mit den Tönen ab dem hohen D. Hier ist die Ansprache nicht so wie ich es mir wünsche. Die Tiefen Töne sind eher entäuschend. Hier fehlt es an Fülle. Das tiefe E ist bei meinem Instrument zudem deutlich zu hoch?
Einer meiner Vorkritiker hat bereits Ähnliches berichtet und hatte dann mit Korrekturen am Mundstück und mit alternativen Blattstärken Erfolg. Das ist allerdings schwierig, da für das exotische Sopranino nicht wirklich viele Alternativen angeboten werden (siehe Angebot Blätter und Mundstücke selbst bei Thoman).
Vielleicht vergleiche ich insgesamt zu stark mit meinem Sopransax. Mein gebogenes Sopransax (992) von Yanagisawa ist bezüglich Intonation und Sound von oben bis "ganz unten" wirklich richtig gut. Fairer Weise muss ich auch gestehen, es bedarf einiger Übung bis die höchsten Töne eines Sopranino richtig kommen.
Zu Einsatzmöglichkeiten: Am besten gefällt mir die Kombination zur akustischen Gitarre. Der Einsatz im klassischen Jazz-Quartett ist eher schwierig.
Man muss es wirklich ausprobieren - wahrscheinlich am Besten direkt bei Thoman.

Dieser Sopranino ist ein wahrer Genuss für die, die wie ich, feststellen, dass sie sich meistens in der oberen Oktave vom Sopransax bewegen. Mit dem Sopranino kann mann dem Himmel noch näher und noch schneller emporsteigen;)

Nur der Mundstück steht der Freude im Weg.
Ich spiele Blätter 2 und der mitgelieferte Mundstück 5 ist einfach zu "schmal" dafür. Auch mit dem nachgekauften 7er ist es nicht wesentlich besser geworden. Irrsinniger Luftdruck, unkontrollierbare tiefen Töne, schwacher Volumen, sehr ermüdend.
Dann habe ich mir aber gedacht - den 5 kann ich eh nicht brauchen - und ich habe ihn auf einen 9er (oder 10er?) mit einem Feil vorsichtig bearbeitet. (Was mal weg ist, ist weg!)
Und höre da - die tiefen Töne sind viel kultivierter und kontrollierbar, das Volumen ist viel grösser und - statt 2 mal max. 30 Minuten mit mindestens 15 Min. Pause dazwischen - kann ich plötzlich 1 Stunde problemlos durchspielen.
Macht viel mehr Spass.

Also insgesamt reiner Genuss.

Top Sopranino

Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Bewertungen, aber bei diesem tollen Sopranino muss ich es tun. Das Yanagisawa spricht sehr gut an , die Intonation ist sehr gut. Auch mit dem mitgelieferten 5er Mundstück, das ich mit einem 3er Vandoren spiele. Die Verarbeitung ist wie von Yanagisawa gewohnt ( ich spiele auch ein 901 Alt von Yanagisawa) top.
Das Sopranino habe ich selbst bei Thomann abgeholt und konnte es vorher anspielen.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich . Alles in allem bin ich rundum zufrieden.

schon 7 Jahre...ein Saxophon, das mich begeistert wir am ersten Tag. Nehmen, spielen, strahlen. Keine Kritikpunkte: Verarbeitung, Bedienung, Sound, Intonation erste Sahne. Absolut amtlich in allen Belangen.
