Yamaha YFH-8310 ZG 02 Flugelhorn

The horn is small and very light. Maybe too light. The sound is ok, round, focused with relatively good intonation but It’s not deep enough for my taste and understanding of what a flugelhorn should sound like. It Lacks some character too. The valves are not bouncy and not fast enough. The springs in the bottom of the valves are a terrible idea. It feels like the valves don’t support the fingers well enough. You have to work harder to get the result and the pads under the valves buttons instead of the traditional rubber on the caps, are also annoying. I bought it without trying due to lots of good feedbacks. It is a good horn overall but I recommend to play It before buying.
