The Yamaha YAS-875 EX B alto saxophone offers musicians a broad sound spectrum and maximises their musical potential with its full tone. This masterclass instrument was developed in collaboration with some of the world's most talented saxophonists, including Nobuya Sugawa, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, and Otis Murphy. It's an evolution of the well-received Custom 875, on which it is based. This model is defined by an enhanced, more responsive performance while retaining a well-rounded, cultured sound full of vibrant timbres. The tone is impressive, with phenomenal projection and a beautifully centred core. Needless to say, the instrument boasts exquisite aesthetics: It is black-lacquered and features a lily design which is hand-engraved on every instrument.

Refined with a love for detail

The manufacturer has carefully considered and implemented the suggestions of renowned saxophonists. As a result, the size and shape of the keys on the Yamaha YAS-875 EX B alto saxophone have been adjusted. In addition, the new custom V1 S-bow increases resonance and provides a faster and more comfortable response. The alto saxophone's efficiency is further enhanced by the two-point bell brace, which helps to produce a beautiful sound. Yamaha has improved the size and positioning of the tone holes to achieve the best intonation yet: The shape and mechanism of the front F key have been modified, as have the positions of the left palm key, the left key, the right palm key, and the right small key.
