Bringing an old mixer back to life!

I've had an old Yamaha DM1000 mixer sitting on a shelf since pre-Covid. It's perfectly functional but with its two installed AES I/O cards in today's world it's a chocolate teapot. Discovered Thomann's very affordable offering of YGDAI Dante cards, I've bought two of them and suddenly there's a whole new world of connectivity!!

Funktioniert gut aber wenig Einstellungen bei AES67 möglich .

Ich habe die Karte wegen AES67 Kompatibilität angeschafft.

Was mich enttäuscht hat ist die Tatsache, dass sich die Karte in dem AES67 Modus auf 2ms Latenz und 48kHz festsetzt und lässt sich nicht ändern. In reinem Dante-Modus kann man dies ändern. Ich hoffe, mit der Weiterentwicklung von Netzwerk-Audio kommt ein Upgrade, welches das ermöglicht, auch kompatibilität mit Ravenna z.B., wo Latenz nicht in ms sondern in Samples eingestellt wird.

Bei Multicast-Stream kann man bis 8 Kanäle senden, man kann aber nicht in anderem Stream die gleichen Kanale verwenden und man kann nicht die Steams mit eigenen Namen versorgen, was die Orientierung schwieriger macht.

Ich habe die Karte bei Livemix und Livestream verwendet, und habe bei der Show keinerlei Probleme gefunden, solange ich alle anderen Geräte auf dieses abgestimmt habe, wegen der SR und Latenz.

Also hoffe für die Zukunft.

Audiomixer mit Netzwerkstöpsel

die Karte funktioniert gut.
Man sollte nur beachten im Mischpult (bei mir Yamaka 01V96i) die Clock auf ADAT16 (Kanal1) schalten muss.
Insgesamt eine gute Hardware. Adaptiert das Pult an Dante. mit Dante Via kann ich sogar einzelne Programme auf verscheidene Fader patchen (im Pult: SL01, ...)
