Warwick Gnome CAB 2/8/4

Bought this alongside the standard Warwick Gnome head and it is an immense sound. Only got a stock Squier P Bass but the tone out of this cab is fantastic; harmonics ring true and the range is very responsive. The added tweeter volume control is a great touch. Great at low and high volume, only rehearsed with this so far but got over the drummer's volume without breaking a sweat. Dual speakon/jack input is handy, a fair weight (little heavier than it looks but far lighter than the older bass rigs) and you can't beat the price. Great cab, fantastic when paired with the Gnome head and cannot recommend highly enough!

I got this in order to also have a dedicated bass cab by my side and paired it with the gnome pocket amp. It was really great, but eventually I ended up returning it and getting its slightly bigger brother (the 2/10/4) just to have more power. If you're looking for something light that punches way above its weight, this is still really good. The tweeter is also a nice touch and works pretty well.

Ich habe den Warwick Gnome CAB 2/8/4 aus einer Laune heraus gekauft.
Von Hause aus spiele ich einen Warwick BC-300 an dem es nichts zu Mäkeln gibt.
Die Box wird mit einem Gnome I (200W) betrieben alle Einstellungen auf mitte auch die Piezo Tweeter Einstellung an der Box.
Zum Einsatz kamen Sterling Stingray; Fender Prezision und Fender Jazz Bass.
Die Fender Bässe kamen Soverän rüber beim Sterling ging einiges durch die Klangregelung am Bass.
Der Gnome CAB 2/8/4 hat es richtig drauf mein Kumpel mit seiner Grünen 11 war total neidisch.
Soundmäßig ist die Gnome I der 11 Überlegen Preislich auch!
Die Lösung mit der Bassreflexöffnung als Griff ist Genial.
Fazit:
Wenig Gewicht richtig guter Klang.
Und was die Lüftergeräusche angeht ja es gibt welche aber die sind zu vernachlässigen und sicher nicht lauter als bei der 11.
Voll aufgedreht neigt der Gnome zum Verzerren aber mit etwas gefühl hat man hier für sein Geld ne gute Session Anlage mit reichlich Potential nach oben. Bei unserer Session: Gitarre; Bass; Drum Gesang konnte ich mich wirklich gut durchsetzen!

Que dire,vu le prix c'est tout simplement remarquable, l'enceinte est vraiment très légère et très compact, que du bonheur si on se déplace souvent avec son matos, j'ai voulu d'abord commandé la 1+10"encore plus compact mais qui est pour moi la meilleure taille compacte pour des basses profondes,ne vaut pas bien entendu un 15"mais celà reste une question de goût, surtout quand on fait pas de grosses scène, celà ne sert à rien, puis souvent trop lourd, j'ai toujours préféré le 2+10" où à poid, encombrement équivalent au 15"le 4+10". donc j'étais parti pour la 10", mais disponible seulement en 8 ohms, même si cela reste pourtant ma config parfaite,vu la capacité de ma tête ( très compact elle aussi) développement seulement 50w RMs sous cette config j'ai opté pour sa capacité max en 4 ohms.d'ou l'achat de ce cab 2+8"en 4 ohms.ben le son est très convaincant, puis elle peut encaissé 200 watts RMs ! Bon après ,comparer au cab d'un ami,une markbass en 2+10" elle ne fait pas le poids,le son est moins profond, chaud et surtout moins précis,la Warwick à tendance à "cracher" à côté, bien entendu faut relativiser car on joue pas dans la même cours d'école moins de 200 euros pour Warwick contre presque 700 EUR pour la markbass qui est bien plus lourde en plus ! Ma conclusion donc, vous cherchez un matos de qualité pros pour de la scène, passer votre chemin !en revanche vous chercher du pas Cher pour chez vous où de la répète en Petite salle, alors vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, plus puissant et bien moins lourd et encombrant qu'un combo équivalent en prix incluant tête et Cab gnome ! De plus le cab est équipé d'un tweeter,ce n'est pas le cas sur la plupart des combos et sa c'est vraiment un plus (surtout pour les joueurs de slap) et en plus celui ci est réglable, bien que j'ai trouvé ça pas si pertinent pour mon jeu.
