Heroic scanner moves

The Varytec Hero Scan 150 is an enormously powerful scanner light, capable of projecting a whole host of effects onto large areas. It has an impressive pan/tilt range that gives lighting techs broad surface coverage for all their most colourful moves: The Varytec is pre-fitted with a variety of gobos, a rotating prism, a colour wheel, and a stroboscope. It also comes packing a lot of helpful features so that even beginners can get their big show up and running with ease. The light can simply be used free-standing, or it can be hung from a rig, where the scanner can be precisely adjusted using the bracket supplied. A DMX cable and a power twist mains cable are also included as standard.

Professional gear

The Varytec Hero Scan 150 has a 150W LED chip: To create and combine its wealth of effects, it also has six rotating gobos with goboshake function, a three-facet prism that also rotates, and a wheel with seven colours plus white. With a colour temperature of a cool 8000K, this Hero's strobe flashes are particularly impressive, in addition to which the mirror can rotate 160° horizontally and 70° vertically. The scanner is operated either stand-alone with the built-in menu buttons and OLED display, in master-slave mode, or using a separate DMX control, and it comes pre-installed with automated programs and sound-to-light settings.

Professionals can control all effects via DMX; the Varytec is fitted with both three-pin and five-pin inputs and outputs. The locking power twist sockets ensure a reliable power supply when things get heated. Beginners – perhaps organising a house party – who simply want to get on with using the scanner without additional accessories can use the menu buttons on the devices itself to select from eight automatic light shows, or choose the sound-to-light mode to synch up with the music. Perfectly choreographed light shows

Anyone planning a larger show can easily use a group of these versatile scanners: Synchronised moves can be effortlessly conducted in master-slave mode, and to mirror the movements of each spot, there's an option in the menu to reverse pan and tilt, so the effects go in opposite directions. The only accessories needed are a few DMX cables. The auto-dimming display, which goes dark 30 seconds after the last input, is particularly practical for theatres, galas, and the like. To suspend the scanner, simply attach a safety cable (sold separately) to the built-in safety eye. In DMX mode, which requires a suitable controller, professionals can programme the Varytec Hero Scan 150 to produce far more automated shows than in stand-alone mode; the scanner will simply need a little calibrating, for example by selecting the back-up mode in the event of a DMX failure.

LED Scanner im Homestudio

Dieser Lichteffekt findet seinen Einsatz in einem Büro / privatem Studio. Die Geräuschentwicklung und die Möglilchkeit die Lüftergeräusche zu dämmen war die große Aufgabe. Ich hatte zunächst einem Moving Head getestet, aber der war leider zu laut und auf Grund der Bausweise auch nicht geeignet die Lüftergeräusche zu dämmen.
Mit dem Scanner habe ich jetzt eine Bauweise gefunden, die vom Lichteffekt fast genauso gut ist, sich aber in die Decke einbauen lässt.

Der Lüfter ist für einen Wohnraum viel zu laut - aber 150W LED brauchen halt Kühlung - deswegen verschwindet das Gerät in der Decke, wird nach oben entlüftet und ist dann fast nicht mehr hörbar.

Das Gerät fokusiert sogar auf 1 Meter einigermaßen sauber.

Wenn man das Gerät nicht in einem Wohnraum betreibt sind auch die Lüftergräusche absolut OK.
Die DMX Ansteuerung ist völlig problemlos.

Un superbe effet lumineux.

J'ai acheté 2 Varytec Hero Scan 150 pour remplacer mes lyres.
Je les trouve très lumineux. De plus ils ont un poids très agréable en disco mobile (7.5 Kg). Je ne regrette pas mon achat. Bravo à Thoman pour les livraisons rapides.

J ai hésité a choisir pour un pont arriere entre lyres ou scans .. ? Vue leur tarif et puissance anoncée , j ai tenté pour 4 scans Hero 150 . Le resultat est plus que satifaisant . Mouvements rapides ,tres bon rendu lumiere , plus facile a caler et regler que des lyres ,point négatif: manquerai quelques gobos suplémantaires sinon pour le reste , à voir apres plusieurs prestas ... rien a dire .
