Thon Mixer Case Allen&Heath Xone:96

I was really hoping this case would work out. I really, really did!

The materials are good, solid construction. My package arrived without damage.

However I think this case was designed without an actual Xone 96 to work with, so there are issues:

1. The front of the case covers the Phone 2 jack
2. The front of the case also covers the front ventilation grill.

Since I consider this to be an improvement over another case I tried with this mixer (Odyssey FZGS12MX1XD- do not use this one with your Xone 96), and I don't intend to send this back to Germany, I'm going to do some modifications this weekend which will be to cut and remove some of the foam in the front. I can't unblock the Phone 2 jacks, but I think I can cut enough foam to give enough ventilation so that my new expensive mixer does not die of excessive heat.

So this is fine when I'm at home, but if I'm trying to gig somewhere and I want to hand off the mix to the next DJ, the Phono 2 would be really handy. So in these instances the mixer will have to come out of the case completely to allow this. Not ideal, but more workable than any alternatives I have at the moment.

I intend to have this mixer for a long time. If someone can come up with a properly designed case for the Xone 96, you will have a true winner and I might come back to buy that one.

Sitzt perfekt,Top Qualität wie immer. allerdings sollte dann zum Betrieb des XONE 96 das Gerät aus dem Case herausnehmen und am besten noch weitere Gummifüsse drunter stellen,da das Pult sehr warm wird. Selbst wenn es nur auf dem Unterteil steht,wird es deutlich zu warm als wenn es zb. gut belüftet auf dem Tisch steht.Vielleicht sollte man da noch etwas nachbessern um einen gut belüfteten Betrieb zu sichern.

Ce fly case peut parfaitement convenir si on le considère comme juste un objet de protection pour le transport.
Sinon, et les raisons pour lesquelles je l'ai très mal noté sont les suivantes:
- le flan avant masque l'usage de la sortie casque prévue sur la console de mix.
- les trous de ventilation de la console sur le pourtour sont en parti bouchés par la mousse du fly case, donc fort risque de mettre la console en panne d'autant plus qu'elle chauffe naturellement beaucoup.
- la profondeur à l'arrière de la console ne permet pas d'y stocker de câble, c'est trop compact.

Pour moi, un fly très très mal étudié et à déconseillé vivement.
Thomann me l'a repris et j'ai opté pour un fly sur mesure pour cette console afin d'éviter de mauvaises surprises comme ici.
