- 3-Piece instrument
- Hand pipe, middle pipe and cup pipe made of finely selected spruce wood
- Bell and hand pommel in solid walnut, varnished multiple times
- Consistent 8.5 mm wall thickness
- Wide bore and a full, exceptionally warm, sonorous tone
- Oiled on the inside
- Wound with reed and then varnished five times with a gloss finish
- Tuned to 442 Hz orchestra tuning (for best adaptation to other alphorns or other instruments in ensemble playing)
- 2 cm "pull out" for tuning to 440 Hz
- Highly intonation-secure and coherent - "the notes jump in by themselves"
- Exceptionally easy response
- Connections made of aluminium - gold anodised
- Includes 3 gaskets per socket
- Made in Austria
