Brilliant performance

The professional Stairville Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlight, which combines the look of a classic theatre spot with a particularly powerful light output, offers a wide range of shades of white from cool to warm white in a uniform light beam with a medium beam angle. Compared to similar theatre spotlights, the Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W stands out thanks to its powerful three-watt LEDs, which are three times brighter than those of the Octagon Theater CW/WW 36x1W model, and the included barndoors that allow the beam to be shaped and directed even more precisely. What is more, this versatile spotlight can be placed on the stage floor or suspended in a lighting rig.

Fine nuances of white

The Stairville Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlight comes with 18 cool-white and 18 warm-white high-power LEDs that deliver 3W each and require 115 watts in total. These allow the colour temperature to be continuously adjusted to just about every nuance of white within a wide range that goes from warm 2800K to cool 6400K daylight white. In addition to a colour filter frame, the scope of delivery also includes a removable barndoor frame that allows the 36° beam angle to be limited depending on the specific lighting task. The Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlight features an elegant black housing with compact dimensions of 301mm x 215mm x 248mm, a weight of 4.02kg, an IP30 rating, and a rear panel with a compact display and four menu buttons, a pair of power sockets as well as a pair of three-pin DMX connections that allow the spotlight to be optionally controlled via five DMX channels.

For stages and events

The Stairville Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlight is the perfect tool for just about every live performance thanks to its lockable power twist sockets, which reliably prevent power cables from being unplugged by accident. This versatile all-rounder not only allows theatres to precisely illuminate defined stage areas using the included barndoors but also provides event organisers with just the right shade of daylight white for their events, and exhibitors at trade shows with an easy-to-use, time-saving lighting solution for trade show booths. Music club owners can suspend the Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W in a lighting rig to illuminate the entire stage from above, while technical service providers and rental companies will benefit from a high level of flexibility thanks to the wide range of colour temperatures, setup options, and dimmer settings offered by this professional spotlight.

Stairville LED theatre spotlight

About Stairville

Since it was introduced in 1994, Thomann's in-house brand Stairville has been a permanent fixture in the store's product range. The brand primarily focuses on the field of stage lighting in general, and its products include spotlights, moving lights, and theatre lighting as well as smoke machines, electronic control systems, and every other accessory you can think of. Thomann constantly has around 1,600 Stairville products on offer, and the figures speak for themselves: Statistically, one in every fifteen Thomann customers owns at least one Stairville product. Incidentally, the name "Stairville" is also a catchy English translation of "Treppendorf", the town that Thomann calls home.

Two spots – one stage light

Two Stairville Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlights can also be combined using the DMX mode and suspended to the left and right at the front of a stage to create a basic lighting setup and illuminate the artists' faces from the front and sides. In this setup, both units should ideally be assigned the same start address in five-channel DMX mode in order to have a sufficient number of channels available for further functions. The third DMX channel provides all the necessary configurations for creating strobe effects at various speeds (in 24 increments). Two Octagon Theater MKII CW/WW 3W spotlights can even be used as blinders simply by turning them towards the audience with the barndoor shutters wide open.

Strong!

Strong light, strong build, only no compatibility with 16 bit DMX, so no smooth fades and dimming.

Wasn't sure what to expect but wow
churchmediauk 02.08.2019
The light went beyond my expectation, I needed the option to be able to mix some warmth into a white light and this allowed it to be done easily, although it's a spotlight, when you add an led filter in front, it increases the beam angle and works like a floodlight and removes from glares from the eyes.

I controlled this unit from a dmx controller, it takes up 5 dmx channel, channel 1 and 2 mixes the cold and warm, channel 5 controls the intensity, 3 and 4 are different flashing or fade effects.

So far the light is working great. It's currently used as stage lighting for a church. Would definitely buy more as I bought 3 this time.

Umstieg auf LED Frontlicht - Vergleich Octagon Theater MKII + Octagon Theater 20x6W
Christian Stockert 11.09.2019

1 links, 1 rechts, reicht, GEIL!!
