Dieses Mikro hat mich umgehauen.
Ich benutzes es zur Aufnahme von Akustikgitarre.

Zunächst fällt auf, dass das Mikro praktisch null Grundrauschen hat.
Die Aufnahme wird dadurch sehr sauber und ruhig. Und mit Null meine ich Null, also nix, gar nix, nada.

Und die Aufnahme an sich hat eine spektakuläre Tonqualität! Es wirkt sehr rund, ausgewogen, weich, und dennoch super präzise und detailreich. Hier gibt es GAR NICHTS zu kritisieren. Weder zu hohe Höhen, noch zu tiefe oder matschige Bässe, nein, es ist alles perfekt. Ich würde nicht sagen, dass es alles 1:1 abbildet, so wie das Sennheiser MD 421-II, aber das Shure versteht es genau an den richtigen Stellen was auch immer zu machen (es ist eine Art von Magie), damit die Gitarrenaufnahme einfach fantastisch klingt.

Ich habe es an PC über Motu M6 angeschlossen, auch weil es 48V Phantomspeisung braucht.

Ich habe das KSM40C direkt verglichen mit einem Sennheiser MK4 (ebenfalls ein Großmembrankondensator) und einem Sennheiser MD421-II (dynamisch). Im direkten Vergleich ist das MD421-II immer noch ein Legende, vor allem weil es wirklich alles exakt so abbildet, wie es ist, und dazu noch mit mobilen Recordern wie dem Sony PCM D100 oder vergleichbaren Recordern auch ohne 48V Phantomspeisung verwendet werden kann. Aber dadurch, dass das MD421-II wirklich alles exakt abbildet (was manchmal gewünscht ist), ist das KSM40C einfach genau richtig und wohlklingend. Das MK4 dagegen hat im Test den anderen unterlegen, es war im Vergleich zum Shure wie mit einer Art leichtem dumpfen Schleier belegt, wärend das Shure hier klarer und feinaufgelöster ist.

Ein absolutes Spitzenmikrophon.
