The Sennheiser KA 600 functions as an adapter to connect microphones like the Sennheiser MKE 600 via the 3.5mm mic jack directly with a DSLR or mirrorless camera. It comes in a small plastic bag and is made in the Philippines.
The idea behind this product is by itself quite brilliant, but in my experience the adapter lacks the reliability needed in order to be practical.
It seems not to be able to maintain a stable connection and randomly cuts the signal. This can be temporally fixed by gently tapping the adapter, but usually won't last longer than a few seconds.
I already had this type of problem with the KA 600 that came with my microphone therefore I ordered this as a replacement, but after carefully connecting it to my mic it behaved in the exact same way as the one I had used before.
This makes this adapter unusable and leaves me either with 3.5mm microphones or the burden of using an external recorder . Consequently I can not recommend the Sennheiser KA 600 to anyone.
